Jessie Logan Nude Photos in 'Sexting' Claims Life: A Mother's Story

You may have heard of 'sexting' in recent months, a process in which teens send nude photos of themselves to their boyfriends or girlfriends through text messages, but have you heard Jessie Logan's story?

Some teens may continue to participate in 'sexting', despite the strong opposition from their parents and school leaders, but perhaps one mother's story will change their minds.

Cynthia Logan's daughter Jessie Logan was 18 years old and about to graduate from Sycamore High School when her 'sexting' turned into a nightmare.

Jessie had sent a nude photo of herself to her boyfriend's cell phone - a picture that was later sent to hundreds of students in several schools in the Tri-state area. Jessie was devastated.

Back in May of 2008, Jessie made appearances on news channels discussing her experience from 'sexting' and how just one sent photo turned into their worst nightmare. She was teased, harassed, mocked and tortured incessantly over her picture by kids near her home, school and elsewhere. Kids threw objects at her and called her horrible names.

She cried during an interview: "I still get harassed and stuff."

"I just want to make sure no one else will have to go through this same thing."

Jessie's life spiraled out of control the moment that picture was sent - her grades suffered tremendously. She was being abused by her peers and started cutting class to avoid the cruelty of other students.

Cynthia knew her daughter was struggling to cope with the abuse, but she had no idea just how devastated her daughter had become. Not even a year after the message that started it all was sent, Jessie was dead. She had committed suicide.

Her mother describes the moment: "And I walked over into her room and saw her hanging. Her cell phone was in the middle of the floor."

Jessie had hung herself in her closet.
